Toast Outage Information

 

Here is some information about using Toast when there is a Toast or Network outage. It's important to remember Toast will still function during one of these outages, but there are a few things to know (listed below). Please also print the Manager Checklist attached below and keep in the office.

 

How you will know:
A yellow banner will appear on all devices stating either 'toast service disruption' or 'network disruption'

 

What to do:

  1. Alert the tech team immediately
  2. DO NOT troubleshoot the device (no rebooting, logging out, etc)
  3. Pause OLO immediately until issue is resolved (reach out to the tech team if you are unable to pause OLO)
  4. Use ONE terminal for all orders, payments, clock-ins/clock outs (please do not use handhelds during disruption)

 

What will work:
- Orders can still be placed (from ONE terminal)
- Payments can be taken (from ONE terminal)
- KDS's can function

 

What will not work:
- OLO (orders will not be received)
- Gift card sales/payments (unable to reach Paytronix to verify Gift Card)
