Issue: Team member has forgotten their Office 365 password. (Email, Teams, Sharepoint)
Requirements:
- Team member must be in the MFA Inclusion security group to change their own password.
Steps
- Open Office 365 login portal on your computer
- Enter your email address
- Click Next
- Click Forgot my Password
- The email address should have self-populated, if not enter your email address again.
- Enter the captcha field,
- Click Next
7. Select Approve a notification on my Authenticator app
8. Click Send Notification.
9. A number will appear, you will need this soon.
10. On your cell phone, you will get a notification from the authenticator app. The notification will say Approve sign-in?
11. Click the notification
12. The application will open.
13. A text box will appear for you to enter a number. Enter the number you received from the step above.
14. Click Yes
15. Back on the computer, the screen will now have changed for you to enter a new password.
16. The password must be a minimum of 8 characters long containing the following:1 upper case, 1 lower case, 1 number, and 1 symbol.
17. Enter the password twice
18. Click Finish
19. You can now go back to the login page.
- Login entering your email and new password.
