Issue: Store reports they are having issues with one of their phones

 

NOTE: Stores vary between wired/wireless phones. Steps will be listed for both options below. 

 

Potential Issues:

  1. Volume is too low to hear people
  2. Phone calls are not stable (dropping calls/static)

 

Volume is too Low to Hear People

  • Wireless Phone
  1. Locate the phone that is experiencing the low volume
  2. Looking at the front of the phone you will see up,down,left,right arrows. 
  3. Use the left and right arrows to adjust the volume
  • Wired Phone
  1. ​​​​​​​Locate the phone that is experiencing the low volume
  2. Looking at the front of the phone you will see - and + located on the bottom
  3. Use the - and + to adjust the volume

 

Phone Calls are Not Stable

  • Wireless Phone
  1. ​​​​​​​Locate the phone that is experiencing the issue
  2. Looking at the front of the phone you will see the RED End Call button
  3. Hold the End Call button until the phone powers off
  4. Once the phone has powered off, press and hold the End Call button until the phone powers on
  5. Allow 2 minutes for the phone to completely boot up before using
  • Wired Phone
  1. ​​​​​​​Locate the phone that is experiencing the issue
  2. Flip the phone base over to look at the cable connections on the back of the phone. 
  3. On the back you will see an ethernet cable (usually a white cable) 
  4. Unplug this cable, the phone should power off. 
  5. Plug the cable back in, ensuring you are plugging into the same port it was originally in.
