Issue: Error when assigning a driver to a delivery order. Usually happens during the process of adjusting the tips and trying to assign the order so it can be closed.
Requirements:
- Login access to Brink terminals at the location in question
- Access at manager level or higher
- Delivery Team member name (person needing the order assigned to them)
- Access to the Admin Portal and access to Edit Shifts.
Steps:
- Find the shift info of the team member (assignee) needing the delivery assigned to them:
- Log into the Brink Admin Portal
- Select Labor, click Edit Shifts.
- Select Today's Date
- Select the location in question
- Select All Employees
- Select All Jobs
- Click Submit.
- Validate that the team member (assignee) needing the delivery assigned to them, was in fact, clocked in as a delivery driver at the time of the error.
- Scroll through until you see their name.
- The Assignee must be, or must've been, clocked in as "Delivery" in order to assign the delivery.
- If they are not clocked in at the time that the error occurred, or if they are clocked in as another job code, that is most likely the reason for the error.
- If the assignee is not currently clocked in, clock in the Assignee, and attempt to assign the delivery.
- Make sure you are on the terminal that the original order was rang in from when assigning and/or editing the order.
- If you don't know what terminal that was, you can Look up the Order info on the Admin Portal to get all the order details.
- If the assignee is not currently clocked in as Deliveryn, clock them out of their current job code, clock them in as Deliveryn, and then attempt to assign the delivery.
If you still cannot assign the order to the desired Assignee, and continue receiving the error message, please submit a tech ticket
