Issue: Need to delete a payment from an order.
Requirements:
- Login access to Brink terminals at the location in question
- Access at cashier level or higher
- Manager PIN (for deleting payment)
Steps:
- While viewing the order, click on the payment itself from the order lane. This will highlight the payment in blue.
- Click "DELETE / VOID"
- If the payment does not delete, or has issues, make sure the following conditions are met:
- You are on the original terminal of the order.
- To find out if you are on the original terminal -
- Log into the Brink Admin Portal
- Select the Orders dropdown menu on the left
- Select Open orders
- Select your location from the dropdown and click "Apply Filters"
- Find your order. The Terminal listed under the Terminal column is the terminal that the order was started on
- To find out if you are on the original terminal -
- The original order is not part of a drawer that has already been checked out.
- If the current drawer checked in is not the original drawer from the order in question:
- Checkout the current drawer.
- Undo the check out of the original drawer.
- Delete the payment (using the steps listed above).
- Checkout the original drawer (the one you're on now).
- Undo the checkout of the drawer you need to be open for the shift.
- If the current drawer checked in is not the original drawer from the order in question:
- You are on the original terminal of the order.
- If you've recreated the conditions of the original order and the payment does not delete, submit a tech ticket.
