Issue: Need to completely delete an order that has already been paid for.
Note: If the time is at end of day and the order in question was before shift change, the person who opened the order may need to be logged into the terminal that the order was taken before proceeding.
Requirements:
- Login access to Brink terminals at the location in question
- Access at cashier level or higher
- Manager PIN (for deleting payment)
Steps:
- If the order is already closed, reopen the order.
- Once the order is open in the payment lane, delete the payment.
- Once payment is deleted, delete all items on the order.
- Click "PAY / CLOSE" to close the order to a zero balance, which deletes the order.
Note: If you are end of day and the order will still not close, following the steps above, call Brink support at 888-275-5735. If Brink support is unable to help, let the end of day run knowing your restaurant will be over the amount from the order.
