Issue:  Documents are automatically printing to the wrong printer

 

Resolution:  Change your default printer

 

Note: If you are unable to make the below changes, please open a ticket. 

 

Impacted devices:

• Windows 10
• Windows 11
• Mac

 

 

Windows 10

 

1. Click 
2. Click Devices > Printers & Scanners
3. Select the desired printer
4. Click Manage
5. Click Set as default

 

Windows 11

 

1. Click the Windows button
2. Click RSettings 
3. Click Bluetooth & Devices   
4. Click Printers & scanners

 

1. Go to section Printer preferences
2. Validate Let Windows manage my default printer is turned off. (This feature automatically sets the last printer used as your default printer.) 
   1. If this setting is turned On, click the On button to turn off.
3. Click the desired printer
   • Click Set as Default in the top right corner

 

Mac

Steps

• Click the Apple button > System Settings
• Click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar.

 

• Click Default printer pop-up menu
• Click the printer you want to be the default

  • If you want the same printer to always be the default printer, choose that printer. The default printer doesn’t change even after you print to a different printer.

  • If you want the default printer to be the one you printed to last, choose Last Printer Used.
